Herzlich Willkommen!

1. Questions before buying download products

Why does sheet music PDF cost the same as the respective printed edition?

Accolade Musikverlag's offer of digital editions of sheet music is primarily aimed at customers abroad who have poor or no access to music stores or who wish to save time and shipping costs. We have therefore decided not to make any price distinction between printed and digital editions in order to protect the music book trade. Therefore, before purchasing digital editions, please consider whether it would not be cheaper for you to purchase the sheet music as usual. You will then receive a neatly produced, printed and bound edition on lightly toned Accolade quality paper and will not have a loose-leaf collection lying on your desk that you will have to print out yourself.

.

What format are the scores?

All editions are laid out in A4 format, so they are usually slightly smaller than the printed edition. In countries where other formats are common, there may therefore be a loss of quality when adapting to a different format (e.g. Letter).

I already have the printed edition of a work. Why do I have to pay extra for the digital edition?

Digital editions are not supplements to existing offerings but stand-alone products.

What technical equipment do I need to use the digital editions of sheet music on offer?

To open the PDF files, you will need a PDF reader of your choice.

2. Questions about purchasing digital editions of sheet music

.

How do I order digital editions of sheet music?

The ordering process for our download products does not differ in principle from that of the physical editions. Only the payment methods offered (only immediate payment) and the shipping method (download link) differ slightly.

.

Can I purchase digital sheet music editions and normal print editions in one purchase process?

You can purchase digital and print editions or CDs in our online shop in the same order process. You will receive one total invoice for each order or purchase process. For mixed orders, the invoice will be sent by post with the delivery of the physical products. For purely digital orders, you will only receive the invoices by e-mail.

.

Can I specify a separate billing and delivery address for digital music editions?

You can, of course, specify any address as the billing address, as usual. Regardless of this, the link to your digital editions of sheet music will always be sent to the e-mail address with which you registered and logged in to the webshop. The invoice will also be sent by e-mail to your login e-mail address for purely digital orders. You can then forward the invoice for the purchase accordingly to the invoice recipient for individual billing.

.

How can I pay for digital products?

Digital editions of sheet music can only be purchased if they are paid for immediately using PayPal. Unfortunately, purchase on account or prepayment is not possible for these products.

Can I buy digital sheet music editions as a guest, i.e. without a login/customer account?

No. To purchase digital editions of sheet music, you must use your existing customer account or - in advance or as part of the ordering process - create a customer account.

Can I also order digital editions of sheet music by phone or e-mail?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to order digital editions of sheet music by telephone or e-mail. Download purchases are a fully automated process that handles the personalisation and protection of the files, as well as access to them via a secure server.

3. Questions after purchasing digital editions of sheet music

.

How do I receive my digital editions of sheet music after purchase?

Your purchased digital sheet music editions are usually prepared immediately after successful payment and made available to you within a few minutes.

On the one hand, you will receive an email with a download link that will allow you to download your sheet music directly. Please check your spam folder if you do not find a corresponding e-mail in your inbox at the latest a few minutes after completing the purchase process. The sender is Accolade Music Publishers and the subject line starts with "Your download links...".

Tip:
Do not forward this mail to third parties under any circumstances! The download links are active for a period of 30 days and the download product behind each link can only be downloaded twice. It is therefore essential that you download your purchases locally to your end device (PC, tablet) in order to view, print or listen to them.

In addition, you will find an overview of your purchased digital products including download links in your customer account both in the "Order history" and under "My downloads". Please note that you cannot download your digital products as often as you like (twice per link) and they are only available for a limited time (14 days).

Where can I find my products after clicking on the download link?

There is no general answer possible here. This is because the memory space depends on your browser and the settings. Please note that you can set the storage location for downloads individually in your browser.

.

Tip:
Download your purchases locally to your computer, tablet or mobile phone as soon as possible after purchase. Store them in a location that is easy to find later when you want to view, print or listen to the downloads.

What do I do if the download has failed?

First check whether there is an active internet connection that allows access to the secure download server.

Downloading is no longer possible if you have already downloaded the file twice. It does not matter how you clicked on the download link - i.e. from the e-mail, from the order history or from the "My Downloads" area. It may well be that your browser saves the download files rather "inconspicuously" in the default download folder and you are therefore tempted to click several times. You should therefore always check the relevant storage location to see whether the download files have been stored there (see also FAQ question on storage locations in different browsers).

Generally, the download link is active for a maximum of 14 days from the date of purchase, so that a download is no longer possible from the 15th day after purchase.

Please contact us by email at accolade@t-online.de if you have any difficulties, stating the order number, order date and download product affected.

May I copy the printouts or share files?

.

The quantity of each product you may use digitally or print out depends on the number of copies you have purchased. You may therefore only reproduce the sheet music in the quantity ordered or pass it on to the corresponding number of people.

Whether you use the sheet music yourself or pass it on to a third party is not permitted.

Whether you print out the sheet music yourself or pass on the file for self-printing or for use on digital devices is entirely up to you.

Are the download products personalised and / or otherwise protected?

PDF downloads contain personalised information - visible at the bottom of each individual page. There, the name of the orderer is printed with the date and time of the order, as well as the number of copies purchased.

.

In addition, the files are protected with an invisible watermark, which enables us to track down files that have been illegally distributed on the internet and trace them back to the buyer.

Can I return purchased digital sheet music editions?

No, unfortunately you cannot. When you purchased digital sheet music editions, you explicitly agreed to the amended regulations regarding the statutory right of withdrawal - specifically, that Accolade Musikverlag may begin executing the contract for the download products you purchased before the end of the withdrawal period. With this consent and with the start of the execution of the contract, your right of withdrawal for these products expires. You can find more information on the right of withdrawal in our T&Cs.

Why can I no longer download my purchased digital sheet music editions in my customer account?

Please check in the customer account under "My Downloads" whether you have already reached the maximum of two downloads allowed. It is also possible that the 14-day period for which the downloads are available after purchase has already expired?

If you have entered your details in the "My Downloads" section of your customer account, please check whether you have already reached the maximum of two downloads.

If information about downloads made or the download period is incorrect, please contact us by email, quoting the order number, order date and download item concerned, to accolade@t-online.de.

What is a fair way to deal with copyright-protected download material?

Copyright applies to digital sheet music PDFs to the same extent as to printed sheet music. So the same applies here: Copying sheet music is prohibited. We are aware that the risk of misuse is even higher with digital formats than with conventional editions. Nevertheless, we have made a conscious decision to offer these formats. Because we do not want to place all musicians under general suspicion. Not only do you want to be paid fairly for your work, be it as a teacher or as a concert performer, but composers, editors, music dealers and publishers are also entitled to fair remuneration for their work. Anyone who has ever been involved in music notation knows how much effort is required for a clean and good notation, with engraved notes and sensible turning points. Our experience so far is that the work and effort that goes into our publishing programme and the high quality of our music editions are greatly appreciated by the music world, and we therefore trust that we will continue to deal fairly with copyrighted material in the digital world. And please also remember: Accolade Musikverlag in most cases publishes works for which there is only a very limited clientele with a manageable market and small editions. Nevertheless, we always offer these editions for a fair price.

Important:
If you are unsure at any point what is legally permitted in terms of reproduction, performance or publication, please feel free to contact us directly at any time: accolade@t-online.de.
